Industrial and Commercial Applications
Foamspray Insulation Industrial & Commercial Applications
Spray foam insulation has been used extensively within the industrial & commercial market since the early 80s for both insulation and condensation purposes in both new- build and existing structures such as:
- Factories & office blocks
- Warehouses & industrial units
- Workshops & garages
- Schools & hospitals
- Retail & storage units
- Swimming pools & municipal buildings
- Car parks & concrete soffits
The material can be applied to almost any surface:
- Asbestos sheeting
- Breezeblock and brick
The variety of uses of spray foam insulation means it is frequently specified on new build projects.
In some cases it is used in older buildings purely for the encapsulation of asbestos sheeting. Its ease of application means that large areas can be covered within minimal timescales with little or no inconvenience.
Pre-1970s buildings suffering from inadequate insulation can be brought up to today’s specifications by using the appropriate thickness of insulation to comply with required U values and building regulations, providing a cost effective solution.
The spray foam is applied in liquid form, directly onto the back of the sheeting, enabling the insulation to seek and seal all air leakage, reducing heat loss, cutting down on carbon emissions and saving money on energy costs.
The energy efficiency of existing buildings can easily be raised to meet today’s building regulations. Cost effective structural upgrades are delivered by our trained, approved installers.
Pirthane® ‘O’ is an insulating system with excellent fire resistant properties. It complies with the requirements for a Class 0 surface as defined in Paragraph A12(b) of Approved Document B ‘Fire Safety’, to the Building Regulations 1991. It has a Class 1 surface spread of flame when tested to BS476 Part 7 1997; when tested to BS476 Part 6 1989 the material achieved a fire propagation index (I) of not more than 12 and subindex (i1) of not more than 6.
PIRTHANE® ‘O’ comprises of a low thermal conductivity insulating foam.
Duratherm® OS is an HCFC AND CFC FREE two component, 1:1 ratio, rigid foam system which produces a rigid foam of approximate density 40kg/m3 with exceptionally good compressive strength. Service temperature range -15°C to 70°C. When tested to BS476 part 7 the foam achieves a Class 1 surface spread of flame.
Vapour Control Layer (VCL)
Used in conjunction with Duratherm® OS, our sprayable vapour barrier coatings have Class 0 compliance and therefore dry to form a flame resistant finish.
Buildings suffering from poor insulation are prone to issues with condensation. Applying a minimal thickness of 30mm of polyurethane spray foam insulation, will ensure a condensation free environment.
With spray foam insulation there is no need to compromise on insulation standards or energy efficiency in either retro-fit or new build projects.

We were very happy with Foamspray Insulation. They provided a very competitive and prompt quote using the dimensions we provided. They had a no nonsense approach that appealed and were attentive and helpful with our questions. The job went smoothly, they got a very large shed done in a day and to a high standard. We are looking to use them again.

Thank you Jerry, for your professional service levels you provided from start to finish. Being flexible to my moving build schedule and other trades around site. I cannot believe how foam spraying and painting has transformed the warehouse into a first class workshop and show room. I would highly recommend Foamspray Insulation.

Foamspray were contacted in October 2012 to insulate one of our buildings on a new site we were moving into. As a commercial warehouse and storage company, temperature and a clean environment are essential for client satisfaction. Our company relocated from a commercial trading estate to farm buildings in 2012 which were uninsulated and bare metal walls. Jerry inspected the site and quoted on insulating one of the three the buildings using a thick coating on the roof and slightly thinner coating on the walls. We had never seen this form of insulation but were so impressed that Foamspray were contracted to do the second building in 2013. We are currently looking at having the third building done. The heat retention is excellent and if the building has any minor holes or areas that could leak the insulation cures all of this. The finish is superb, we would not hesitate to recommend Jerry and his team’ John Walker, Managing Director, Indigo Blue European Ltd, www.ibeltd.co.uk
